Navigating Your Dashboard

Your command center for managing every aspect of your restaurant.

The OpenPOS dashboard gives you a single place to manage menus, orders, staff, analytics, marketing, and settings. Here's how it's organized.

Sidebar navigation

  • Home — Today's activity at a glance: order count, revenue, average order value, and weekly trends. The sidebar shows AI Insights (summaries and recommendations from your AI Manager's latest analysis) and Suggested Actions (context-aware next steps based on your store's current state). Metrics refresh automatically every 60 seconds.
  • Orders — All orders with filtering, search, and status management.
  • Menu — Items, categories, variations, and modifiers.
  • Customers — Customer profiles, segments, store credit, and loyalty data.
  • Analytics — Sales charts, hourly breakdowns, and item performance reports.
  • Marketing — Email/SMS campaigns and customer segments.
  • Promotions — Discounts, promo codes, and deals.
  • Referrals — Customer referral program management.
  • AI Manager — Your AI co-manager: automated insights, task runs, recommendations, and a chat assistant.
  • Catering — Catering orders and private event inquiries.
  • Staff — Team members, roles, PINs, and permissions.
  • Settings — 15+ settings pages for ordering, payments, reservations, waitlist, and more.

Operations views

Beyond the dashboard, OpenPOS provides dedicated full-screen views for daily operations:

  • Kitchen Display (KDS) — Real-time order tickets for kitchen staff.
  • 86 Board — Quick out-of-stock management.
  • Host Stand — Reservations and waitlist management.
  • Order Display — Customer-facing screen showing order status.
  • Counter/Kitchen 2-view — Split workflow between kitchen prep and counter pickup.

These views are designed for tablets or monitors. Set the browser to full-screen mode for the best experience.

Global search

Press ⌘K (or Ctrl+K) anywhere in the dashboard to search orders, menu items, customers, and more.

Multiple locations

If you operate multiple locations, use the location switcher in the sidebar. Each location has its own menu, staff, orders, and settings — completely independent.
